Growing Together: Early Booking & Last Call for $80 Unlimited
Iβll be honest β I love the freedom and spontaneity of signing up for things at the last minute. I also get frustrated when studios require you to sign up hours in advance. More than once, Iβve skipped a class entirely because of that rule. So I truly understand why many of you prefer the flexibility of last-minute sign-ups, and I donβt want to completely take that option away.
That said, for the health and growth of our studio, we need to start building a little more consistency in how we book our classes.
When I was the only instructor, I didnβt mind running a class for one or two people. But now that we have multiple amazing instructors, we need enough students in each class to make it sustainable and keep those classes on the schedule.
1. New Scheduling Policy
Starting next week, Iβll be confirming or canceling classes 8 hours before start time:
Morning classes β Confirmed the night before (around 10 PM).
Evening classes β Confirmed at 10 AM the same day.
If a class meets our minimum of 4 sign-ups by the confirmation time, itβs a go and youβll receive an automatic βClass is On!β email about 7 hours before class.
If we donβt meet the minimum, the class will be canceled, and everyone will be notified and either rescheduled or get a class credit.
I know 4 sounds like a lot β but thatβs my magic βkeep the lights on and the rent paidβ number. Fewer than that, and Iβm basically paying you to take classβ¦ which, as much as I adore you, is not a sustainable business plan.
Cancellation policy:
All cancellations must be made before the 8-hour cut-off.
Iβm going to have to grow a spine here and stop manually rescheduling everyone. π
You can still no-show/shoot me a text if something comes up, but it will be recorded as if you attended for bookkeeping purposes.
Last-minute cancellations will not cause a class to be canceled once itβs set. (except for like tornados/acts of GodπͺοΈπͺοΈ ).
Why this helps:
Students and instructors know earlier if a class will run.
Gives everyone time to adjust their plans.
Encourages early booking so we can keep your favorite classes on the schedule.
Lets us figure out whatβs working so we can double down on the crowd favorites.
2. Belly Dance Sign-Up Policy
During the school year, Monaβs belly dance class is not a weekly drop-in class.
You must sign up for all 4 weeks in the month.
You can try 1β2 single classes, but if you decide to commit, youβll be added to the rest of the monthβs classes so we can build skills together.
If youβre on the $50/month 4 class subscription and I know youβre a regular belly dance student, you donβt need to register for each class individually β just show up. Youβve already paid, and space isnβt limited the way it is for pole classes.
(If youβre not on the subscription, you can also pay $50 cash at the beginning of the month to join a weekly belly dance classes for that month.)
We may offer βbonusβ belly dance classes that focus on specific skills ( like fan Veils) those will be one- off sign ups and follow the regular scheduling rules.
3. Membership Updates β Effective October 1st
I havenβt yet paid myself for teaching any classes β which is one of the reasons Iβve been able to offer the Unlimited Membership for only $80/month. Now that we have more lovely instructors (and not all of them are volunteers, though some are!), I need to update our membership structure so we can cover costs, pay our instructors fairly, and keep the schedule strong.
The Unlimited Membership will stay at $80/month through September 30th. If you sign up before October 1st, you can keep that $80/month rate through at least the end of 2026.
Starting October 1st, the Unlimited Membership will be $120/month β perfect for students who attend 3β4+ classes a week and want maximum flexibility.
New Option: For those who attend 1β2 times a week, weβre introducing an 8-Class Membership at the same popular $80 price point.
Includes up to 8β10 classes per month.
Comes with a 30% off coupon code for any extra drop-in classes if you run out before the month ends.
What You Can Do Now
Book early so your class is set to run β plus, youβll know sooner if a class isnβt going ahead, giving you more time to adjust your plans.
If you love the Unlimited plan at $80, lock it in before September 30th.
Try the new 8-Class Membership for flexibility and discounted extras.
Thanks for helping keep our classes consistent and full of great energy. Your early sign-ups really do make all the difference!
