Back by popular demand! Sultry Stretch is a slow, relaxing class designed to help you wind down at the end of the night. We’ll pair long, comfortable stretches with floorwork basics and flowing movement drawn from both modern and classic dance. Expect unhurried transitions, sensual shapes, and a calm, welcoming vibe — all staying firmly in a no-pain zone. This is a great class for anyone wanting to build floorwork confidence, improve flexibility, and move with more ease. No experience needed.

Pole isn’t what you think…

I wanted to address the two of the thoughts many of y’all have before trying pole:

I’m not strong enough.
Isn’t that… really sexual?

Most people imagine pole as something reserved for a very specific type of person—usually younger, already fit, very confident, and very comfortable being watched.

What surprises most new students isn’t how sexy pole is.
It’s how fun and silly it is.

And by fun, I don’t mean effortless. I mean the kind of fun that includes laughing when something feels awkward, cheering when someone nails a spin they didn’t think they could do, and feeling genuinely proud of your body for figuring something out that seemed impossible five minutes earlier.

Yes, pole can be sensual - and personally I love that aspect.
But it’s also technical, sweaty, playful, and sometimes downright silly. You’re allowed to feel graceful one moment and ridiculous the next. Both count.

“But I’m Not Strong Enough”

Here’s my hot take: no one walks in strong enough for pole.

Not you. Not the person next to you. Not even the people who look very impressive currently hanging upside down.

Strength in pole is something you build, not something you’re expected to arrive with. Even ‘strong’ people have to learn how to use a new set of muscles. Plus strength gains tends to show up in odd ways, because it’s not pure strength but also hugely the brain-muscle connection.

I’ve watched students of all body types go from “there is absolutely no way” to climbing, sitting, spinning, and moving with control in a surprisingly (to me) short amount of time. Because they showed up, practiced, rested when needed, and - let their bodies learn as they slept (weird but true).

Progress in pole is sneaky.

The Part People Don’t Expect

What most people don’t anticipate is the community.

Our classes are small. Names get learned quickly. Progress—big or small—gets celebrated. People clap for first spins, first climbs, and first “wow… I did that?”.

It’s not about being the best in the room. It’s about being a place where effort, joy, and people matter. Also that little high you get from dance doesn’t hurt.

See you in class,

Tarah
