Class Descriptions

No experience needed classes:

  • Introduction to Pole

  • Sultry Stretch

  • Pole Conditioning

  • Belly Dance (Wednesdays are usually more beginner friendly)

Take Intro to Pole at least once before more advanced classes unless you have previous Pole experience.

Pole Classes in roughly in Order of Challenge

Are you curious about pole but don't know where to start? This is the class for you.

No previous dance or fitness experience needed. Learn the moves you need to get started pole dancing: sassy walks, body waves, turns and how to string it together to music. This class may be repeated until you feel comfortable advancing. You do not need much skin to get started so leggings and t-shirt are fine!

Level 1 Pole is the perfect next step after taking a couple Intro to Pole classes. You'll discover new beginner-friendly moves and mini-combos, build strength for more advanced spins, and gain confidence with foundational moves. We will introduce Pole sits and Climbs and build up to two handed spins on both static and spin pole.

This class is all about slow flowy movements, leg and floorwork with HEELS. Includes short choreography and Floorwork. We will do Heels specific conditioning exercises and drills. Kneepads recommended. You are welcome to join this class even as a relative beginner - most the moves are fairly simple to learn (especially if you start in socks) yet challenging to execute seamlessly. Ara is now teaching two classes - Exotic on Tues (heels and more dancing) and Pole fitness on Thurs (Tricks and Conditioning)

Seamlessly stringing pole moves, shapes and combos together is one of the most rewarding and challenging parts of Pole dance! We will learn and practice a new choreo each month with level appropriate combos. Ideally come to each week to really master the flow. Level l 1 & 2 class. You should be comfortable with basic spins, climbs and sits but you do not need to be able to invert. Invert options will be provided where possible. Most my Choreos can also be done in heels and heels tips will be provided!

Mixed Level Pole Fitness class taught by Ara. Ara is an advanced pole dancer and experienced instructor from Mexico City. We are very blessed to be able to get her on the schedule and you do not want to miss this class. Ara is good at offering progressions and regressions - not recommend for your very first pole class. Ara's class is particularly well rounded with Strength exercises, Stretching and fun new Tricks and combos! See her Tues class for exotic style. This class is traditional pole fitness!

Belly Dance, Stretching and Conditioning Classes

Come Learn the Art of Belly Dance with Mona a long time dance instructor from Rome who was born in Iran. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone wanting to seriously learn tribal fusion style belly dance. You can sign up even if you are a total beginner - however this is a progressive dance training class with weekly 'homework' an an emphasis on building a strong foundation with proper technique. I am making it a monthly signup to encourage regular attendance.

Ready to stretch both your body and your imagination? Join Sarah Kate, a certified yoga instructor, personal trainer, and actress, for a weekly class blending flexibility, mobility, and light contortion with a playful twist. Sarahโ€™s love for fluid, boudoir-inspired shapes and character work invites you to explore your physical limits while experimenting with different moods and attitudes. Step into a space where creativity meets movement!

If you are looking to build more upper body strength and muscle memory of foundation moves this class is for you. We will alternate between simple pole flow drills and pole conditioning exercises that specifically target the muscle groups needed (and most likely to be injured) for foundational Pole moves. This class levels easily! For example rep options may range from single leg pole pullups to baby shoulder mounts. Suitable for all levels and bodies. Followed by Open Pole for a perfect Saturday workout.

Open studio time for Pole Practice

- or whatever you are working on. We often also Stretch.

This is your chance to reserve a pole and get some low-key practice time with help and encouragement from your studio friends. We have the full set of Pole Decks for you to explore if you need inspiration!

If you are not coming to open pole you are missing out. We always have fun and discover new moves we didn't know we could do.

We ask that you attend at least one Regular Pole class, or request special permission, before coming to Open pole, as there is no formal instruction during this time period.

January Class Schedule

Basic Class Schedule will stay mostly the same

  1. Ara is going to start teach TWO classes a week. An exotic class on Tuesday and her pretty intense Pole fitness class on Thursdays.

  2. Daytime classes will start up again after school is back in session. I am going to try an 8.30 am class on Tuesdays and stick with the popular noon Thursday Class.

  3. Thursday Choreo Class will start a new Choreo on Jan 2nd. Working on something dark, moody and bluesy after our 80s pop.

  4. Salsa with Juan on Mondays will be back. learn more at https://www.facebook.com/p/Salsa-With-Juan-Texas-61559650992037/
