Studio Shenanigans, Important Things & Mild Chaos (Always)
We have a lot of exciting things happening at 1989 Pole as we head into the end of February and the beginning of March — competitions, workshops, performances, and just the right amount of chaos.
Big Win at Dancing for the Stars 💫
Our Belly Dance team competed in the local Dancing for the Stars Valentine’s competition — and took home People’s Choice!
This team practiced hard, showed up consistently, and absolutely earned that recognition. I am so proud of our little dance troupe and the work they put in.
Even better, the event raised a record amount of money for Big Brothers Big Sisters. It was a huge night for both the performers and the community.
Bonus Shout out to Nicole’s team (Falls Dolls and Studio member) that put on a fantastic performance. Love those boots!
Save the Date: May 15 & 16
Falls Dolls Present: Dr. Tease and the Tassel Time Machine
** Not Historically Accurate….
AI Teaser poster! Still working on the official show poster, but this one captures the vibe. Yes there will be dinosaurs.
Our next Falls Dolls show is officially set for May 15 and 16.
Dr. Tease and the Tassel Time Machine will be a time-traveling romp — and this time we’re trying something new by incorporating a storyline that runs throughout the entire show.
Expect character moments. Expect glitter. Expect questionable decisions across multiple historical eras.
There will be opportunities to participate in both Belly Dance and Burlesque group acts. If you’re interested in being part of the show, attend the Belly Dance or Burlesque classes to learn more and get involved.
Mark your calendars now — this one is going to be fun.

Valentine’s Lap Dance Workshop Recap 💖
The Valentine’s Lap Dance workshop was a success. We had flirty fun and it was great getting to bring a “Person/Prop” into the studio.
No photos — what happens in BYOP stays in BYOP. 😉
These workshops require a bit of planning, but we’ll try to host another one before Christmas.
And apologies to anyone in Wichita Falls looking for a used trench coat… we may have bought them all.
It’s shaping up to be a busy and exciting season at 1989 Pole — full of growth, glitter, hard work, and just enough mild chaos to keep things interesting.
