Summer Schedule Tweaks and Falls Dolls show Pictures

The weather is hot, kids are graduating and school is out! I’m making a couple tweaks to the Summer class schedule:

Summer Class & Schedule Updates

1. Intro to Pole: Dance basics and flow – Tuesdays at 8pm
This class is shifting focus to grounded movement, flow, and short drills/freestyle. It’s meant to be accessible to a wider range of students—no full-body lifting required. We’ll practice smooth transitions, walking in and out of moves, and building musicality. If you’re looking for beginner tricks that involve lifting, that’s what the 6pm Level 1 class is for.

2. Pole Conditioning – Tuesdays at 7pm
Y’all need to be coming to this. I’ve moved it to 7pm so it’s easier to attend. We alternate between strength-building exercises and technique-specific drills. This is one of the most scalable and useful classes for all levels. It’s not just hard work—we keep it fun and purposeful.

3. Choreo – Thursdays at 6pm
Over the summer, this class will lean into short combos instead of full routines. If you miss a week for travel, you won’t fall behind. I’m personally focusing on stringing moves together with more intention, and this format will be good for that. Low commitment, high payoff.

4. Belly Dance – Wednesdays at 6pm
Mona’s out for the summer, so Keila is leading. This will be a slightly more casual class, with everyone contributing to drills and practice. A great time to join—expect more repetition and a laid-back approach to technique-building.

5. Open Pole – Saturdays at 1pm
No formal Saturday classes during the summer so we can all enjoy life, but Open Pole stays on the schedule (moved to 1pm). We’ll rotate who plays ‘pole mom’ each week. Honestly, this is one of the most productive sessions I do—bring ideas or we’ll happily give you some nonsense to try.

6. Swapping Level 1 Pole and Pole Choreo. I’ve swapped the Tuesday 6pm Level 1 Pole class with the Thursday 6pm Pole Choreo class. Why? Because I realized Tuesday was stacked with easier classes and Thursday had all the heavy hitters. This balances things out a bit more. Now both beginners and more seasoned students have something both Tuesday and Thursday.

Art Walk Update + First Friday Floorwork

Canceling all our Thursday classes every First Thursday for Art Walk isn’t ideal, but I still want to support a vibrant Downtown Wichita Falls. So here’s the compromise:

All Thursday classes are canceled on First Thursdays, but we’re adding a 6PM Floorwork Choreo Workshop on First Fridays instead.

This workshop is included in all unlimited subscriptions and pulls from the best of our regular Thursday classes:

  • Flexibility and strength work

  • Leg shapes, bridges, and flow

  • Acrobatics and conditioning

  • And yes—choreography too

It’s a fun, challenging, all-in-one session—and a better way to stay consistent without competing with After Hours Art Walk.

FIRST FRIDAYS OVER THE SUMMER! (July 4th we may combine with fireworks watching afterwards)

NOW FOR SOME SHOW PICTURES!

YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUR NEXT SHOW. SAVE THE DATE OCT 3rd. Follow Falls Dolls on FB for more updates

We had several incredibly talented photographers volunteer their time and skills—so now I have way too many photos to easily sort. Honestly, it’s hard to even pick favorites.

Here’s a batch that caught my eye while scrolling through thumbnails. If y’all enjoy these, I’ll sort through more and share a curated set in the next newsletter. =)

Fun fact: All three photographers are proud, supportive spouses of Falls Dolls members—and they’re not the only ones! We’ve got quite a few partners who pitch in behind the scenes.

Just goes to show: being sassy on stage is totally compatible with a strong relationship. 😉

Want to be a part of Falls Dolls?
We’re not an exclusive troupe—you don’t need to perform or take pole classes to join.

Membership is just $80/year, and we have plenty of ways to get involved behind the scenes. You'll also get access to our fun, welcoming monthly meetings. (A half-year membership option may be coming soon!)
