✨ 1989 Pole Weekly Update ✨
We’re Moving to a Bigger Space!
We’re excited to announce that starting August 1, 1989 Pole will move to a new location — the former Weightless studio at 1110 8th Street, just a few blocks from Big Blue, near First Baptist and the downtown YMCA. Weightless has similar structural requirements to pole, which means their space is perfect for us, with 11-foot ceilings for safer, more comfortable pole tricks and inversions. The studio is also slightly bigger, so we can spread the poles out a bit more. We can’t wait to welcome you there — stay tuned for more details as move day gets closer!

They offer fantastic low-impact aerial and bungee fitness options, which can be especially great for folks with joint or mobility considerations, and they even run kids’ aerial classes! We’re excited to see them growing into their bigger space — go show them some love if you’re curious about what they do.
Class Schedule Updates
✅ New Class Format: Starting next week, we’re combining the Tuesday–Thursday 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. classes into one 90-minute PoleCore class, blending pole conditioning, core strength, and targeted choreography drills — everything you love, all in one. Learn more and Sign up for PoleCore »
✅ Thursday Classes Continue: Art Walk, normally held on the first Thursday, has been moved from July 3 to July 10 because of the July 4 holiday on Friday. Regardless, we will still hold our regular Thursday classes next week, so come train with us!
✅ Exotic Pole with Capri:
Last week was Capri’s first Exotic Pole class, and it went great! Capri is an incredibly skilled dancer and we are so lucky to have her sharing her talents with our community. Her beginner-friendly choreography includes tons of floorwork and plenty of confidence-building movement. 👯♀️ Falls Dolls Mid-Year Meeting: Our studio-affiliated dance troupe will meet this Saturday at 11 a.m. at the studio. Curious about Falls Dolls? Feel free to drop in — you don’t have to commit to anything at your first meeting. Since we’re halfway through the year, memberships are prorated to just $50 for the rest of 2025. This Saturday we’re also hosting a costume and dance gear swap, so bring anything you’d like to trade or re-home. Whether you’re a current member or just curious, we’d love to see you! 💃 Burlesque Choreo Workshop Coming Up!
At the end of July, join us for a one-time burlesque group choreography workshop. If you’d like to perform with us in October, you can join extra practice sessions afterward — and you don’t have to be a Falls Dolls member to take part in the group act. 🔑 Big Blue Building Code Update: The after-hours access code for Big Blue has changed. I’m working to update the text reminders so you’ll get the correct code when you sign up for class. If you have any issues getting in, please text me — my number is in your signup confirmation email — and I’ll make sure you have the right code.
